Projects
Things I have built, deployed, or am actively breaking and repairing. Each entry says what it does, what I was responsible for, and whether it is still alive.

EvoSim: Survival Simulation Using Evolutionary Algorithms
September 2025 - October 2025AI Developer, Python Developer, Technical Documentation
EvoSim is an artificial life survival simulation exploring how neuroevolutionary algorithms can optimize autonomous decision-making in competitive, resource-scarce environments. Competing organisms governed by a custom Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) neural network navigate a discrete 25x25 grid, seeking sustenance and water, evading predators, enduring scheduled natural disasters, and competing in an ecological battle royale. Unlike conventional reinforcement learning that requires continuous gradient updates, EvoSim leverages genetic algorithms across generational epochs. Organisms that balance metabolic constraints, hazard evasion, and proactive foraging achieve higher fitness scores, ensuring their synaptic weights are selected, recombined through crossover, and propagated into future generations.

2025A repurposed machine running my personal services behind a reverse proxy—handling file sync, media, and hosting this portfolio. It is where I learned Linux administration for real: breaking configs, testing different distros, managing Docker containers, and fixing things when they went down. I route public access through Cloudflare, use Tailscale for secure private networking to test app connectivity, and handle remote management via SSH and a self-hosted RustDesk instance.
